Lucía came from the world of Arts and Humanities, a career that she initially thought would not serve her well when she packed her bags and moved to Barcelona in 2016 from Montevideo, Uruguay. However, her background provided her with valuable skills that allowed her to develop in different areas.
Her first job in Barcelona, as a summer substitute at a language school, was crucial to her career. It was what opened the doors to roles in reception, office management and communication, all the way to her current position at Clovr Labs.
Although she never imagined her life would take this turn, Lucia feels deeply satisfied with her accomplishments and excited to apply her knowledge and skills to Clovr Labs, continuing her professional growth in this exciting field.
What is Lucía de Pró’s day-to-day life at Clovr Labs?
Lucia began her adventure at Clovr Labs by applying for a position titled “Virtual Office Manager”. At first she was intrigued by how an office manager could work remotely. It was then that she discovered the concept of “virtual offices” and adapted to this new way of working. Today she is an integral part of Clovr Labs.
Lucia’s role, which was finally defined as People Operations Specialist, includes several responsibilities. However, her main objective is the well-being of her employees. She optimizes tasks and reduces time to focus her efforts on creating a positive and desirable work environment.
Unlike traditional HR roles, Lucia does not focus solely on legal and conflict resolution issues. Instead, she uses data to develop best practices for different teams. She is also responsible for hiring new team members in innovative ways. She has successfully eliminated hierarchical hiring by fostering a collaborative environment from the outset.
